JOB DESCRIPTION



Job Title: BUYER

Report to: RETAIL DIRECTOR and BRAND MANAGERS

What is the purpose of the job?
  • Take in charge the administrative work since the order placed by the Brand Manager (PO) up to the receipt of the goods in the store.
  • Control respect of delivery plans and delivery terms.
  • Control supplier’s prices and shipment costs.
  • Reconciliates deliveries with PO.
  • Establish retail pricing in ag****ent with Brand Manager and according to established and approved policy.
  • Coordinate payments with chief accountant and suppliers under Brand Manager Supervision.
  • Assist Brand Managers in establishing purchasing plans based on stock level and sell out.
  • Supervise assigned ******** stock reconciliation according to GM or Retail Director request.
What do you have to achieve?



o Establish purchasing forecast and buying plans with the Brand Manager.
  • Assume that quantities ordered, items ordered and prices confirmed are duly respected as well as scheduled deliveries timing.
  • Verify that all documents are issued correctly and in due time.
  • Apply appropriate products coding on the products and within the sytem.
  • Enter all necessaries data in the system and work closely with IT on this key subject.
  • Verify deliveries qualities and identify incorrect deliveries in terms of quantity or quality. Inform immediately the superior of any discrepancy or leaking or major non conformity with the original order.
What do you have to do?
o Keep records of sell out, stock level and inform Retail director and Brand Manager of critical situations.
o Monitor performances of each products line in terms of turnout and margin performances.
o Work closely with the warehouse assistant on stock quality and aging and propose actions on the concerned stocks.
o Identify best sellers and fast/slow m***ng items working closely with the sales teams.
o Track records of defectives items and propose solutions.
o Assist Brand Managers in any analysis requested in terms of pricing or products line or Brand performances.
o Responsible of the correct pricing and coding of items in the system and in the store.
o Keep close relationship with suppliers to adapt terms and planning to the best efficiency required by the company and the business.
o Work with Brand Managers and Retail Director on identifying the best promotions and appropriate sales products.
o Coordinate with Marketing Manager and Visual merchandiser for the best merchandizing planning, launching, promotions, sales or any event in the stores.
o Assist the Brand manager in activity analysis for the monthly report of activities.
o Assist the Brand Manager in preparing the yearly budgets (purchasing and sell out).
o Maintain close collaboration with IT and Chief accountant
o Inform the BM and Retail Director of any system problem.
o Maintain stock files accuracy
