hey dazzling , you didn't tell me about that KAU thing >>
you made me curious...
And it's great you commented on Insherah's phrase
Because
there's something that's been bothering me ever since I have joined this coffee shop
And that something is
... that most of you here
speak
SAUDI ENGLISH
let me tell you what I mean by that
it's a form of speech that pays no attention whatsoever to the
grammar and structures of the English lang uage
EVERYONE HERE SPEAKS ARABIC BUT WITH ENGLISH WORDS...
now let me give you examples from some of the posts here
wrong structure + missing verbs
missing verbs
"vacant " is not used for people but for places or things
I don't think that English speakers use the word parrot to describe someone who is fluent
it's an Arabic expression ,don't you think so
you should use "teach" instead of "learn" because it may seem similar in Arabic but in English nooooooo
teach = to provide education
learn = to receive education
no preposition
and in your case dazzling girls and heavenmoon
Insherah told you that we use this form to stress the meaning
there must be a subject which comes in the beginning
and the list goes on and on .. these are just some of the mistakes that i've noticed in the first two pages
But don't worry .. there's a solution to this big problem
it's when you LISTEN ! LISTEN !LISTEN and LISTEN more and more to native speakers .. see how they use their own lang uage.. and you will find a big difference between the two langua ges
of course this comes with time and practice
So, there you have it
.. I hope I made myself clear to you
I've been dying to tell you this
