Accountabilities:
checking prescriptions to ensure that there are no errors and that they are appropriate and safe for the individual patient;
Being responsible for the accurate dispensing and timely distribution of ***** and medicines for inpatients or outpatients;
implement, and maintain procedures for mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals, according to policy and legal requirements, to ensure quality, security, and proper disposal
providing advice on the dosage of medicines and the most appropriate form of medication, for example, tablet, injection, ointment or inhaler;
discussing treatments with patients' relatives, community pharmacists
ensuring medicines are stored appropriately and securely to ensure freshness and potency;;
supervising the work of less experienced and less qualified staff;
Responding to medication-related queries within the hospital, other hospitals and the general public;
keeping up to date with, and contributing to, research and development;
writing guidelines for drug use within the hospital and implementing hospital regulations;
Communicate with physicians, nurses and other health care professionals to ensure the delivery of safe, effective and economic drug treatment;
Monitoring every stage of medication therapy to improve all aspects of delivery and reporting patient side effects;
Responsible for handling narcotics and regulate the cycle within the hospital
