TITLE:
Safety Officer.

LOCATION:
,Riyadh

PURPOSE:

• Organize, monitor, coordinate safety awareness program in the project.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Implementation of safety rules procedures.
• Analyse the critical, risky job for hazards and monitor the activities of the employees to ensure compliance with the required safety precaution.
• Conduct inspection on scaffolding, fire extinguisher, rigging tools, hand tools and equipment of their reliability & report the condition to Construction Manager for necessary action.
• Conduct investigation and reporting occupational accident, incident, near misses and advice measure to prevent re-occurrences.
• Identified and rectification of safety hazards.
• Attend meeting to organize by Safety In-Charge to discuss safety issues.
• Conduct safety toolbox meeting to train and educate the workers on the job oriented safety requirements.
• Prepare safety statistics report for the safety management evaluation.
• Provide training to all fire watch prior to development on site hot work activities.
• Prepare the project safety index and obtain client’s approval.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Other duties reasonably relating to this position.

WORKING CONDITION:


• Will work 30% in the office and 70% in the field.


MINIMUM COMPETENCE REQUIREMENT:

• Diploma in Safety Engineering / Safety Management / HSE.
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in related fields.
• Experience in SABIC and other Oil, Gas and Petrochemical plant is a plus factor.
• Knowledgeable in MS applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent communication skills both written & oral.

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

Any of the following safety related certificates: - BOSH Certificate.

• NEBOSH Certificate.
• IOSH Certificate.
