Flight Operations Department

1. A320 Captain ** Ref: OPS/012/11/03

To qualify for this position, you will have:

• A minimum of 5000 hours as your total flying hours.
• A minimum of 800 hours Pilot-in-command on A320 and currently on A320.
• Valid ICAO ATPL.
• To be below the age of 50 years on the date of joining.

• A minimum of 1500 hours as your total flying hours.
• A minimum of 800 hours on A320, and currently on A320.
• Valid ICAO CPL.
• To be below the age of 50 years on the date of joining.

• Be the holder of a valid CPL/IR dual engine land license from a well recognized flying school.
• Be 18 years of age or above but not exceeding 30 years.
• Medically fit and pass the GCAA medical examinations.
• Pass a technical evaluation and other forms of assessment.
• Sign a minimum of 5 years service bond with our airline.

• Minimum high school standard education.
• Fluency in written and spoken English, Arabic and Russian is advantageous
• Age between 21 and 27 years.
• Weight in proportion to height (Must be over 160 cms for Females, and over 165 cms for Males)

• Demonstrate strong communication skills in English (additional language proficiency is an added advantage).

• Prepares operational flight plans taking into account fuel requirements and safety limits.
• Produces and file Flight Plans with ATC.
• Generates computerized flight dispatch services.
• Analyses NOTAMS and weather data. Calculate RTOW and ZFW as required.
• Maintains flight watch.
• Prepares and provides pre-flight briefings to flying crew.
• Sends and verifies receipts of flight documentation.
• Undertakes a range of flight planning processes, in support of, and as directed by the Operations Controller.

• The candidate will bring with him/her at least 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar capacity having worked for a commercial airline.
• Sound knowledge of flight planning procedure and JAR Ops Manual.

• Issues monthly crew schedules (both flight and cabin crew) in accordance with Air Arabia scheduling and duty time limitation policy.
• Records and monitors crew timings/duty hours, license validity, simulation requirements, medical validity etc.. to ensure compliance with GCAA regulations.
• Ensures flights are scheduled with correct crew composition.
• Co-ordinates with crew on changes in schedules and notifies amendments to assigned schedules, if any.
• Manages flight disruptions both at **** and away from ****.
• Maintains crew records of total flying, sick days, and emergency leave etc.., if any.
• Produces necessary reports as required by the management i.e. for salary, internal audit, GCAA audit etc.
• Co-ordinates with the Training Manager on crew training requirements and ensures proper arrangements are made i.e. booking sim slots, training rooms, examination slots etc.

• The candidate will bring with him/her at least 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar capacity having worked for a commercial airline.
• A quick thinker, with excellent interpersonal & communication skills and a logical mind will add value to the role.

• Bachelor’s degree with a formal qualification as a Trainer, with minimum of 8 years in a training role.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic is advantageous.
• Skills and experience in the administration of psychometric tests would be an advantage for the purpose of identifying development needs.
• Excellent ability in the use of the English language, oral and written, is essential as is ability in the use of office ****d computer programmes e.g. Word, XLS, Powerpoint, etc.
• Previous experience of working in the airline industry would be an advantage.

• Manage and successfully deliver assigned distribution projects and solutions from an early strategy development phase to final and completed project execution to corporate standards and within agreed cost and timescales.
• Manage and deliver agreed enhancement programmes for assigned Distribution units (including the four channels for ticket sales: Online ticketing, Call centre, Travel agencies and Air Arabia’s sales centers).
• Manage core support for assigned systems within agreed Service Level Agreements and ensure on going service quality improvement and support cost reduction for across Air Arabia distribution channels.
• Build and manage relationships with key distribution partners.
• Coordinate implementation of ancillary revenue strategy.
• Focus on new website as leading distribution channel.
• Analyse key competitors and their distribution concepts, compile monthly report .
• Provide input for new distribution concepts in line with overall distribution objectives.
• Analyze cost of revenue generation/cost of sales on a per channel basis, compile report for each market
• Liaise with Sales and coordinate objectives.
• Provide input for policy and processes.
• Roll out Air Arabia store concept across markets.
• Liaise with Marketing for channel support if necessary.

• Degree or Honours in Marketing, Distribution or related field
• A proven track record of delivering strategy projects, managing the full lifecycle end to end.
• In depth knowledge of project management tools and techniques, supported by a recognised Project Management certification.
• 3 years experience in project delivery roles in a large corporate environment.
• Business competence and awareness, experience in the Aviation or travel industry is preferred. Real Estate or IT back ground would be considered too.

• Control, write and implement policies and procedures including working practices for the network to include Sharjah Hub.
• Support Manager Ground Operations in creating and implementing operating procedures within *********s as established by local and international regulatory authorities.
• Responsibility for updating, amendment and publication of the Ground Operations Manual (GOM) and Passenger Handling Manual. Also responsible for issuance of interim procedures under the Ground Service Advisory notice process.
• Writes and conducts training courses in Passenger Services, Ramp Procedures, Safety, Weight and B****ce throughout the ABY network and to ensure ongoing currency of all training and associated records.

• Specialist QA training (eg. Air Law, Audit iso9001, Airworthiness, EASA modules etc).
• Valid Aircraft engineering license (Airframe/engine or Avionics) would be an advantage.
• Current management or supervisory role would be an advantage.
