Manager - Resource Mobilisation Division IDB1496 - Manager - Resource Mobilisation Division Business Unit: Finance ********** Not Applicable Department: Direct Investment Country: Saudi Arabia Location: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia Closing Date: 15-May-2013 Role Purpose: To lead, motivate and manage the work of the division in-order to optimize the availability of funds, initiate and follow-up Investment Deposit Scheme (IDS) and raise funds from the capital market. To strategize effective and pro-active resource mobilization approaches for the Investments Department. Key Accountabilities and Activities: •Participate in the development of the Investments Department strategy, budget and business planning processes •Create and implement actionable Resource Mobilization Division short to medium term operational plans and budgets with operational KPIs linked to the Department strategy •Co-ordinate the Resource Mobilization Division’s activities so that it effectively utilises its resources, manages its priorities, and is able to be both responsive and proactive •Manage, monitor and evaluate the Resource Mobilization Division’s on-going performance and quality of its outputs and services, identifying and initiating actions for improvement and innovation •Build and develop productive inter-Divisional working relationships within IDB Group and with external partners for joint working and knowledge sharing •Pr***de regular management reports with analysis and comment on Resource Mobilization Divisional performance and result •Lead the development and implementation of a multi-year, multi pronged resource mobilization strategy in order to raise resources for the Investments Department •Oversee, monitor and guide the implementation of annual work plans related to resource mobilization •Oversee and follow-up the Investments Department’s performance in the capital market and investment schemes to ensure effective mobilisation of resources in line with Bank policies and guidelines. •Advise the Investments and relevant departments on the Investments Department resource mobilisation policy and strategy •Oversee the promotional activities for resource mobilisation, with particular attention to the dissemination of specialized knowledge and Investments Department’s success stories to encourage further fundraising •Manage alignment of the Resource Mobilization strategy/campaign to support & complement the Investments Department resource mobilisation strategies •Oversee the latest trends in resource mobilisation tools and techniques •Coordinate the process of building the technical capacity of Investments Department staff to be able to play an active role in resource mobilisation activities. •Oversee presentation of periodical reports to keep the Investments Management abreast of the latest developments in the Fund’s Resource Mobilization •Contribute substantively to the preparation of the annual report of the Investments Department Experience: •12 years of experience in similar role, among them 5 years in a similar managerial role with Masters •10 years with Doctorate Qualifications: Master’s Degree in international development, Marketing, Economics, Communication, Fundraising or Business Administration Required skills and competencies: •Proven track record in fundraising and resource mobilization •Proven track record and experience of successful networking, fundraising, corporate, bilateral, international organizations, donors and private sector •Developed fundraising strategies and campaigns at a country/regional level •Experienced in development and realisation of innovative ideas and approaches Required technical competencies: •Funding and Lending Management •Knowledge and experience in the Development Arena •Stakeholder engagement •Investment performance analysis •Financial Strategy •Financial risk analysis and modelling Note: you will be required to attach the following: 1.
