using a word like "credit" in this sentence
may confuse interpreting in first glance.
because the word has a lot of (no-relation) meaning.
when dealing with low level langaue such (english)
you have to deal with such issue in many places.
and the only thing you can do here is ...just assume .

The answer was based on my opinion only,

and the use of this word is intended to refer to. not pay to.

I have translated a topic and for taking permission from the writer I send a message to the university which I found the topic in its site ,They replayed with this sentence ....

"Yes, you may as long as you give credit to University of...."
I need your explanation for this sentence ?

Do they mean just to write the source of the topic or they want money

?

We have already discussed this about ....

ummmmm.... a year ago

but I guess that ref reshing our minds won't hurt anynoe here .. right??
