[Sales Manager - JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB PURPOSE
• To manage a team of Membership Consultants against the Sales Daily Action Plan
• To drive sales performance to achieve the monthly sales budget
• To monitor Product Mix against required targets
• To deliver daily training sessions to the team
• To identify opportunities for new business
• To carry out day to day sales administration
PERFORMANCE STATEMENT
DUTY A: CONTROL
1. To ensure that MC’s achieve the agreed Minimum Performance Criteria daily
2. To ensure that the sales strategy and activity goals are achieved
3. To implement fully, all aspects of the Sales Daily Action Plan
4. To ensure reports are submitted on a Daily basis or when required, in a timely and accurate manner
5. To implement the monthly sales and marketing Launch Document and the promotions within it
6. To identify risks in the business and work with the Club Manager and Sales Management team to overcome them
7. To implement ‘The Rules of the Game’
DUTY B: FINANCIAL
1. Ensure that the integrity of the sales is upheld to maximize ******* for each sale made
2. To implement any price promotions or initiatives within the guidelines given
3. To drive product Mix towards agreed goals to support other ******* streams
4. Compile the monthly commission report for the Club Manager to review and approve.
DUTY C: PERFORMANCE
1. Agree Monthly and Daily performance goals with the MC’s
2. To manage all MC’s against Minimum Performance Criteria
3. To implement further performance requirements as directed
4. To monitor monthly performance of every MC
5. To personally deliver units to 15% of the club budget to a maximum of 30
6. To identify opportunities for new business outside the club.
7. Prepare the Sales Plan with the Club Manager
DUTY D: TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
1. Contribute to the team goal of having all sales teams fully staffed and adequately trained and equipped.
2. Monitor and audit the skills of the team through ongoing assessments
3. Prepare a monthly training plan
4. Deliver daily training sessions
5. Implement new training initiatives as tasked
6. Develop nominated MC’s to cover sales management tasks in the MM’s absence
7. Seek out good practice from peers to upskill the team
DUTY E: MARKETING - PROMOTION
1. Support the Marketing objectives with feedback as to the direct success of campaigns.
2. Ensure that the data collected is accurate and can be fed via the Sales Administration and Support manager into the marketing team to correctly assess the effectiveness of the Marketing spend.
3. Understand the mechanics of the Monthly Marketing Promotions and train the team in their implementation.
4. Manage and drive performance on out***** initiatives as directed
DUTY F: COMMUNICATION
1. Submit the daily performance reports as directed
2. Take part in the Daily Conference calls
3. Hold the 10 minute meetings daily
4. Hold the Team meet daily
5. Attend and contribute to the weekly HOD meeting
6. Take part where requested in the monthly club launch
7. Attend meetings where requested to discuss sales performance with the Club Manager
8. Communicate daily, weekly monthly through the requisite reports with all tiers of the business.
