Job Description
All responsibilities of Radiation Safety Officer as mentioned in KA CARE regulations & applicable Aramco Specifications; In the performance of his duty, he is directly assisted by other Radiation Safety Officers;



Coordination for the resolution of radiation safety issues;
Assessment of risk involved during all exposure in Radiography.
To minimize risk factors by strict compliance of safety requirements of this manual & other applicable requirements;
Ensure the control and management like issue, monitor for all radiographic items, its accessories, radiation monitoring items and related calibration & maintenance services
Training and qualifying Company’s personnel;
Training and certification of Radiographers as NDT Level II Shall be responsible for application for permit, Import, License, and export permission from required legal authorities & required legislation agents for the Isotope. He shall also responsible for handling, calibrations, monitoring, and maintenance of radiation safety equipment.



Investigating and reporting all incidents involving over- exposure to ionizing radiation.
RPO shall be able to pr***de emergency services in case of radiation emergencies & located in sites or will be able to ***** sites within 6 hrs from the time of radiation incident.
Ensure that only radiographers and assistants who are qualified or certified, and who are competent and trained in protection and safety carry out radiography work.
To pr***de radiation awareness training, *******er training and to perform radiation safety audits, site inspection, and reporting of the same.
Responsible for tracking & renewing the licenses for Vehicles used for tran******ng radioactive sources, Storage Pits and Radiography Sources.



Communication with KA CARE officials, ARAMCO officers, police, customs, and other legal parties for effective management of radiation sources, X ray machines, TLD, EPD, ****** meters.



Skills
Assesment, Audting,Inspection,Training, presentation, Awareness &orientation sessions, ****** of radiation *********s, Emergency situation handling, Dose tracking, Investigation & Reporting.



Preference for (SAUDI NATIONAL)/Tranferable Iqama
