Roles and Responsibilities
Translate, review and understand customers’ security requirements, then convert requirements into an integrated system design
Prepares project design and manufacturing drawings for review
Serves as interface between users and technical staff; users may ******* military, government and other non-technical personnel
Integrates large-scale Electronic Security System projects and engineering complex systems Documents existing systems, processes and policies
Collaborate with other design team members and demonstrate proficiency in engineering details
Prepare assessment and needs-analysis reports, construction drawings, specifications, test and commissioning plans, and training material
Conceives, investigates, evaluates and makes recommendations for new equipment, tooling, processes and facility design changes to improve function, safety, reli*******, capacity and reduce costs
Remain current on new and emerging technologies in the physical security industry; act as a subject matter expert for the company
Perform installation work as needed
Requirements
8+ years' experience within the Security Systems Integration Industry
5+ years within the Security Systems Integration Industry, in the design and implementation of electronic systems, including digital video management, access control, security communications systems and IP video surveillance.
2+ years completing security site assessments and creating conceptual enterprise security designs to ******* proper CPTED, Intrusion Detection, Access Control, placement of CCTV, etc.
Solid understanding and use of MS Project, MS Word and MS Excel
Hands on experience utilizing AutoCAD
Engineering and consulting skills, partnered with thorough knowledge of the security systems industry.
Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturers and products, design principles and applicable industry standards and codes
Familiarity with the following manufacturer’s products: Lenel, mobitex, Pelco, Bosch, Tyco
Familiarity with access control system such as nedap, virdi, avilgion and suprema
Very good knowledge in install and ******ure security management software systems for security monitoring and managing including its related equipment.
Exceptional organizational and project documentation skills
Excellent written, verbal communication and stellar statistical reporting capabilities
******* to work and think independently with minimal supervision
******* to speak and read English very good
Education
Bachelor’s degree in discipline related to the primary responsibilities and or *****alent
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
Certifications on industry related IP based cameras, ACS, and VMS
Preferred
Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and/or Physical Security Professional (PSP) are desired
Background in Audio/Visual and VTC, Systems and Network Administration, Computer
IT background with solid understanding of IT Infrastructure designs
Previous experience working with government agencies is a plus
