Assists nursing personnel by performing a variety of routing duties for patients. Performs related nursing duties as assigned. Acts as escort for patient transport within Dhahran hospital/district areas as assigned. Assists in maintenance of a clean. Safe environment.

Principal Contacts:

Daily contact with nursing staff, patients,visitors and as required with other health care disciplines in performing the duties as outlined below.

Principal Duties:

1- Distribute food trays to patients and assists with feeding patients who requires assistance, collects food trays after meals.
2- Assists with transport and ****** of patients both in the assigned unit and throughout the medical facility.
3- Assists with bathing and dressing patients. Also makes up fresh beds and strips soiled linen from occupied beds.
4- Weighs ambulatory patients.
5- Treats costumers (guests,patients, physicians and other employees) with courtesy.
6- Always answers a patients call light/bell even if it is not an assigned patient and always takes the initiative to assist the patient.
7- Knows and organizes work around the needs of assigned patients without a reminder to do so by the charge nurse.
8- Presents a positive image of the hospital through professional appearance and behavior.
9- Maintain confidentiality by choosing the appropriate persons, time and place for patient related discussion.
10- Maintain infection control and safety awareness.
11- Takes appropriate and timely action upon noticing a problem.
12- Provide comfort measures during procedures if chaperoning.
13- Maintains a clean, safe and orderly environment by keeping unit clean and disposing of soiled.
14- Tags, reports and removes broken equipment from service and delivers to repair area.
15- Report to work on time.
16- Performs other miscellaneous related duties as required.
