Cost Accountant

AUTHORITY
To check production data Transactions, registers, issuance
To check books of warehouse and stores
To enquirer about inventories

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare, analyse and report weekly, monthly, quarterly gross/net margin analysis by product group by customer
Assist in month-end closing, prepare journal entries as necessary, and analyse inventory evaluation, inventory roll Forward

Coordinate with IT department for system issues
KPI’s – ensure accuracy, usefulness and understanding of all KPI’s
Assist in planning and budgeting and forecasting
Analyse cost accounting data and assist with cycle count/physical inventories
Maintain internal control documentation and test internal controls
Compare actual costs to estimates and analyse variances
Analysis and monitors raw material inventory
Monitor and maintain inventory costs integrity on a timely basis
Maintenance of fixed asset register
Prepare detailed account analysis and reconcile sales, cost and inventory liability accounts by product group by Customer

Review and analyse inventory and margin reports, conduct research and perform analytical

studies in regards to cost
Analyses and profitability
Close jobs in a timely manner
Coordinate with external/internal auditors
Work in special projects as required

Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analysing account information

Part Qualified ACA / ACMA / CIMA / CGMA, ACCA, MBA Fin
Experience[/B]

At-least 5 Years of relevant experience in manufacturing organization
Skills
Good Knowledge of Excel and ERP, Analytical ability, Problem-solving, Knowledge of IT software, Commercial acumen
