JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
Candidates should have previous experience within a T&E role, have a willingness to undertake the duty and have a background that will support them in the role. Typical duties undertaken by the Flight Test Engineer will include;

Test sortie control
Test system operation
Test monitoring
Air photography
Aircraft system operation
Assist in the management and planning of flight trials requested by the RSAF Typhoon T&E Team, ensuring that all aspects of such trials are planned and managed in a safe manner.
Documenting trials in accordance with (IAW). RSAF Typhoon T&E Team documentation standards. This includes but is not exclusive to, the following;
Producing Flight Trial Reports which lay out the results of trials in a clear and structured manner.

Maintaining the T&E Team database including input of Pilot’s Flight reports and communication of any problems found to the Typhoon Support Centre personnel.

Assisting RSAF personnel in supporting the T&E Team within 3rd Squadron or any newly formed squadron.
Providing ongoing support to the T&E Team to facilitate the objectives of the team which includes, but is not exclusive, to the following:
Providing a structured approach to investigating problems.

Developing RSAF tactics as new capability is introduced.

Evaluating Typhoon upgrades.
Assisting with RSAF Engineering Authority clearances.

Reporting detailed results to HQ RSAF.
Briefing Typhoon pilots on results and conclusions.

Assisting with RSAF Pilots’ Post Flight Report writing.

Writing Technical Queries in the most effective manner to ensure clear answers from the design organisation.

Highlighting operational issues / concerns from the squadron to the correct levels within the design organisation.

Assisting RSAF personnel with their understanding of the Release to Service and any updates.
Representing the squadron at the Special Technical ****** meeting and any other meetings designated by the Typhoon Head of Operations.

Completing any other reasonable duties or requests that are made by the line management.

Defining, delivering and managing the Test & Evaluation capability in support of the RSAF Typhoon across KSA.

Provide advice to the RSAF T&E Team on all Typhoon T&E related activities. These activities, specifically Tasking, and Capability Insertion are to be integrated and deployed through the RSAF Command Structure; the Integrated Logistics Operations Centre (ILOC) and Maintenance Operations Flight (MOF) to the RSAF Training and Operational Squadrons and Maintenance Organisations.

Enhance and augment the Capability of the current Typhoon Fleet by; developing and deploying T&E policy underpinned by repeatable processes and procedures, developing and deploying capability.

Develop and foster long term relationships with the customer Teams at HQ RSAF Riyadh and King Fahad Air Base Taif and the relevant Teams in BAES MAI and Eurofighter, in conjunction with the Head of Fleet Operations.

Provide advice to the RSAF in accordance with the Contractual Requirements.

Support the UK capability delivery teams, in terms of local support, RSAF engagement and adherence to Salam Information Management Governance
