We are looking for an experienced Web Developer to handle all e-commerce and non-e-commerce web development requirements while continuously striving to maintain fast, responsive, user-friendly and error-free websites and web pages. The ideal candidate will have passion for web development, online presence and digital transformation.
Job Responsibilities:
Recommend, install, test and modify modules and extensions.
Keep the websites safe and secure at all times.
Continuously check and improve the loading speed and performance of websites.
Ability to modify themes and improve UI/UX.
Ability to modify a website's header, footer, homepage, category pages, product page, landing pages, cart page, checkout page and user’s account pages.
Add, remove and edit custom fields and pages as required.
Modify registry forms and other types of forms.
Integrate the website with external services, such as helpdesk, CRM applications, live chat, SMS services… etc.
Shipping methods, payment gateway and ERP integration.
Bulk upload content and check uploaded content.
Assist Marketing, Category, Content, Operations and Customer Service Teams in all web-related technical requirements.
Respond to urgent needs and requests.
Continuously aspire to improve all technical aspects of the website.
Familiarity with popular e-commerce platforms and web content management systems (CMS), such as PrestaShop, Magneto, WooCommerce, Big Commerce, OpenCart…etc.
Domain, hosting, e-mail server and online accounts management.
Testing, reporting and debugging.
Knowledge of best search engine optimization (
SEO) practices.
Additionally, good IT knowledge.
Skills:
Hands-on experience in web applications and programming languages.
HTML/CSS, Advanced PHP, JavaScript, MySQL… etc and APIs skills.
Excellent knowledge of e-commerce platforms and content management systems (CMS).
Strong grasp of security principles and how they apply to e-commerce websites and apps.
Time management, teamwork, punctuality and sense of urgency
Good written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English
Proactivity and the ability to work even under minimal supervision
Qualifications:
Degree in Web Development, Software Engineering, Computer Science, IT or a related discipline from an accredited university or institution.
3-5 years of relevant experience.
