Job Title: Bevelling Machine Operator
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Bevelling Machine Operator to join our team. As a Bevelling Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining bevelling machines to produce high-quality bevels on various materials. Your attention to detail and expertise in machine operation will ensure optimal production output and product quality.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate bevelling machines according to job specifications and work orders
- Select appropriate tooling and adjust machine settings for the desired bevel angle and depth
- Load materials onto the machine and position them properly for processing
- Monitor machine operations to ensure continuous and efficient production
- Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve machine malfunctions or production issues
- Perform routine maintenance on the machine, such as lubrication and cleaning
- Maintain accurate production records and reports
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize productivity and address any production challenges
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Bevelling Machine Operator or similar role
- Strong understanding of bevelling machines and their operation
- Proficient in interpreting work orders, blueprints, and technical drawings
- Ability to accurately measure and inspect finished products for quality assurance
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Physical stamina to lift and move heavy materials as required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective communication skills and ability to follow instructions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Vocational or technical training in machine operation or similar field
- Knowledge of different materials and their specific bevelling requirements
- Prior experience with CNC machines
- Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations in a manufacturing environment
